The Foundation of the World

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

(Revelation 13:8) NKJV

There was an act of conception and the Son was begotten. This is referred to in the Greek phrase the foundation of the world. So, why was the lamb slain from the foundation of the world, his own birth?

We resolved Elohim with the Holy Trinity and Alpha and Omega. We deduced that the individual Alpha combined with the individual Omega to beget another individual Alpha and Omega, the third person of the Trinity. We can show you the scriptural basis for doing this. There are two keys:

  1. the Greek word translated foundation in today’s featured passage,
  2. the Hebrew word translated brought forth.

God brought forth the Son in the pain of childbirth. It appears to be where we get the word HOWL. Like you do when you’re having a baby. Using this knowledge we want to be able to answer two questions:

Question 1

  • If two individuals,
    1. Alpha and
    2. Omega, combined in an act of conception to beget a third individual,
    3. Alpha and Omega,
  • what significance does this have for our understanding of creation?

And then we need to ponder the following question as we bring together the worlds of conservative theology and practical science:

Question 2

  • Why was the lamb slain from the foundation of the world, his own birth?

Broadly speaking there are three contexts in which “foundation(s) of the Earth/world” are the scriptural basis for how we can understand three important concepts in our unified theory of everything.

Foundation(s) of the Earth/World (context)

  1. the foundation of the world (Greek, singular)
    • first cause, conception
      • before God said let there be light,
      • the act of conception which begat God the Son.
  2. the foundation(s) of the earth (Hebrew)
    • gravitational singularity
      • the creative act of the 2nd day,
      • the inception of the core accretion model.
  3. the foundations of the world (Hebrew, plural)
    • the earth’s crust and mantle,
      • synonyms:
        • bottoms of the mountains
        • foundations of the hills
        • foundations of the mountains

We’re going to answer this question by looking at one particular context in which the phrase “the foundation(s) of the earth/world” is used.
